Tuneup package for most all Marlin centerfire rifles:
After many years of working on Marlins, the following are the most common items that need to be addressed in order to improve accuracy and service life. This is the minimum I suggest for all Marlins. Be aware these might not cover all areas of certain guns due to model and manufacturing variations. Pricing will be adjusted as needed.
Action job with crisp 3-3.5# trigger using factory parts. All internals deburred and polished as needed. Hammer & sear are properly setup in a precision vise and sear surfaces are ground to perfect form on a surface grinder. All parts are lubed upon reassembly.
All exterior sharp edges removed where needed & parts refinished.
Feeding & function checked with several different ammos and adjustments made as needed. This can be very labor intensive on some guns and an upcharge may be added.
Visually inspect bore.
Check fit of forearm and mag tube and adjust as needed. Guns with dovetail hangars will have them permanently silver soldered in place to prevent loosening under recoil.
Glassbed stock to receiver.
Loosen barrel to check thread fit beween receiver and barrel. Fix if too loose. This will cause inaccuracy if not addressed.
Testfire with at least 3 rounds to test feeding, ejection, and primer strike. Guns are carefully reassembled and loctite used as required on screws.
